CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENT

We utilize several forms of chiropractic manipulative technique to achieve the desired correction for your individual spine. Every treatment is specifically tailored to your unique findings. We are continuously learning the newest and most innovative research-based best practices to serve you with the most effective care possible. The goal is to utilize the chiropractic adjustment to positively influence your quality of life.

Diversified Technique

Diversified Technique is the most common technique used by chiropractors. The spinal joints are moved with gentle, accurate, high velocity and low amplitude force. This motion can cause the joint to move causing a release in gaseous matter within the entrapped joint resulting in an audible “POP.”

Activator Protocol

Activator Protocol utilizes the Activator instrument to adjust the spine. This technique is mostly preferred for infants, children and for patients that do not prefer the “POP” sound associated with the Diversified adjustment. Also, this method is highly effective in treating small joints like TMJ.

Drop Table

Drop Table is a technique that incorporates a specialized adjustment table to mobilize the spinal column without putting additional force on inflamed discs. This table is ideal in reducing the inflammatory response for patients experiencing acute pain symptoms. Smaller extremity drops are used for small joints such as wrists, elbows, ankles, and knees.

SPINAL DECOMPRESSION THERAPY

At Healing Mann Chiropractic, our computer assisted spinal decompression device incorporates cutting edge technology to reduce intrathecal pressure between spinal joints and increase blood flow to the spinal discs. The resulting effects include decreased pain, decreased inflammatory processes and increased functionality. Spinal decompression is a drug free and non-surgical treatment approach to address symptoms associated with the following conditions:

  • Degenerative Disc Disease
  • Numbness and Tingling in feet or hands
  • Bulging and Herniated Discs
  • Failed spinal surgery
  • Disc Related Neuropathy

MOTOR NERVE STIMULATION

Motor nerve stimulation sends mild electrical pulses through the skin to stimulate healing processes within injured tissue and manipulate nerves to reduce pain symptoms. Research shows this device helps provide relief and accelerate recovery from injury. Also referred to as electrical stimulation or E-stim, this device helps train muscles to respond to the body’s natural signals to contract. E-stim can block pain receptors from being sent from nerves to the brain.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Myofascial Release Technique is a very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle pressure into the myofascial connective tissue to decrease pain and restore motion. Myofascial release focuses on reducing pain by easing the tension and tightness in the trigger points. Trigger points are areas of tissues that surround and support muscular trauma. These regions can cause sensitivity and tightness along with pain. Localizing the large pain region to a specific trigger point provides great relief with these symptoms.

INTERSEGMENTAL TRACTION

Our intersegmental traction table induces passive motion into the spine for the purpose of stretching spinal joints and increasing mobility. Intersegmental traction helps to gently and effectively reestablish normalized range of motion to your spine. This table helps to increase blood flow and oxygen to the discs, ligaments and muscles by mobilizing the spinal column allowing for improvement in strength, mobility and balance.

THERAGUN PERCUSSIVE THERAPY

Percussive therapy, also referred to as percussion or vibration therapy, is a form of soft tissue manipulation that can aid in increasing range of motion and decreasing muscular tension. Theragun protocol is designed to relieve stress and relax the body by releasing fluid deep in the muscles to increase tissue metabolism. Other benefits associated with percussive therapy include:

  • Increase blood flow
  • Reduce pain
  • Break up scar tissue
  • Release muscle spasm
  • Improve range of motion
  • Decrease lactic acid

CORPORATE CHIROPRACTIC

Onsite Ergonomic Assessments/Microtrauma Risk Assessment:

The most in-depth way of analyzing your day to day activities is to observe you while you are performing your activities of daily living. Whether you are in front of a computer, hitting a golf ball, or performing a root canal, ergonomic evaluations are beneficial to observe microtraumatic events that our bodies must compensate for. Our goal is to proactively identify workstation risk factors and implement simple and effective solutions. Our team provides individual workstation improvements and in-person training with education to each person to sustain a safe work environment.
